Synopsis
Americans Zack and Abby appear to have it all: an apartment in a promising neighbourhood in Paris, an affectionate marriage, and Zack's admirable mission to eradicate pediatric AIDS through his work with Doctors Without Borders. But when Abby finds Zack at home one day when he's supposed to be at work, the revelations that follow rock their seemingly idyllic life.
About The Playwright
Amy Herzog was recently awarded The 2012 Outstanding Playwright Award from the New York Times for her play
After the Revolution. She has also penned
The Wendy Play, Hungry, 4000 Miles, The Great God Pan and
Belleville.
She has had readings/workshops at Steppenwolf, Manhattan Theater Club, New York Stage and Film, Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., and Soho Rep, among others. She holds commissions from the Yale Rep, Steppenwolf, Ars Nova, and Playwrights Horizons and is an alumna of Youngblood, Play Group, and the SoHo Rep Writer/Director Lab.
She is a Helen Merrill Award recipient, teaches Playwriting at Bryn Mawr and has a MFA from Yale School of Drama.
